Wood of Brockton June 1, 2003 John D. “Woody” Wood, 51 years. Husband of Jill M. (Knight) Wood. Father of Erin Wood of NY; Jeffrey, Meaghan and Caitlyn Wood all of Brockton. Brother of Rebecca Wood of NY.

Visiting hours in the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday 3-5 pm. Graveside Service in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne Thursday at 12:45 pm. Funeral procession will form at the funeral home at 11:30 am.

Obituary

Mr. Wood died Sunday at the Brockton Hospital after a brief illness. He was born and raised in Delhi , New York son of the late Walter and Ruth (Elliot) Wood. He has been a resident of Brockton for the past 20 years.During the Viet Nam Conflict he served in the US Navy.

For the past four years Mr. Wood has been a shipper/receiver for a medical supply distributor in Avon.He enjoyed wood working, gardening around his yard and watching sports.

In addition to his wife he is survived by a son and three daughters, four grandchildren, a sister and several nieces and nephews
