Jose Fernandes Jose "JJ" Ribeiro Fernandes, 57, of Brockton, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2011 in Brockton. He was the former husband of Auxilia Vale. Born December 24, 1953 in Brava, Cape Verde, he was the son of the late Jack Fernandes and Maria (Santos) Soares. He served in the United States Marine Corp. Jose owned Fernandes Sons Contractors in Brockton for several years. He enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his children, Joey, Jack, Melissa, Gary, Vanessa, Brittney and Manny Fernandes; his siblings, Orlando Ribeiro, Orlanda Dalomba, Thomas Fernandes, Joseph Soares, Anthony Soares, Elizabeth Teixeira, John Soares and Regina Soares.
