Born April 9, 1945 in Fogo, Cape Verde he was the son of the late Domingos Miranda and Felipa (Ramos) Miranda. Jose worked for Tufts University for many years. He loved playing cards, listening to music and dancing, but mostly he adored taking care of his family. He is survived by his wife Odete (Monteiro) Miranda; his children Balbina Cardoso, Claudio Miranda, Ines Gamelo, Sandra DeAndrade, Sonia DaSilva, Jaime Miranda, and Armanda Miranda; 7 siblings; 18 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St.,(Rt.123) Brockton on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 8:00AM followed by a funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein/St. Edward Parish, 71 East Main St., Brockton at 9:00AM.
