Obituary

Jose Angel Rosario, affectionately known as "Toto," passed away on January 27, 2026, at the age of 68, after a courageous battle with Parkinson's and Lewy Body Dementia. He was born on October 10, 1957, in Caguas, Puerto Rico.

He was the beloved son of Esther Gonzalez (deceased) and Gervasio Rosario (deceased).

Jose was a man full of rhythm, laughter, and heart. He had a deep love for singing, dancing, and music, especially salsa, and was a devoted fan of El Gran Combo. Music was part of his soul, and he shared a special brotherhood with his best friends Luis Colon and Nelson Ruiz, with whom he played in a band and created lifelong memories.

He also had a love for good food and sweets, always enjoying life's simple pleasures and spreading joy wherever he went.

Jose was preceded in death by his son Jose Jr. and his brother Gerardo Rosario Gonzalez. He is survived by his loving children, Daisy and her wife, Michelle, and their children Tan'asha and her husband, Andrew, Terrell, and Jaiden, and his treasured great-grandchildren Jai'liana and Olivianna, Jessica and her husband, Isaias, and his beloved granddaughters Jazmyne and Deyaniz, Christopher and his wife, April, and his cherished grandchildren Mariyah and Liam.

He is also survived by his siblings Richard Rosario Gonzalez, Evaristo Rosario Gonzalez, Enrique Rosario Gonzalez, Mirna Rosario Gonzalez, and Abigail Rosario Gonzalez, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Jose shared many years and a beautiful love story with the love of his life, the late Maria Mercedes Ortega, who always held a special place in his heart.

Family and friends will remember Jose for his charm, humor, musical spirit, and the warmth he brought into every room. His legacy of love, laughter, and music will live on through his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know him.
