Online Obituaries Jose A. Torres, 59, of Brockton, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Irene Torres. Born November 3, 1958 in Corozal, Puerto Rico he was a son of the late Jose M. Torres and Sara E. Lozada. Raised and educated in Puerto Rico, Jose was a carpenter by trade. He came to Waltham, MA in 1983 and later moved to Brockton in 1984. He enjoyed plating dominos and playing pool. His passion was carpentry and building homes. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially the family parties. In addition to his wife Irene Torres, he is survived by his step-child, Zryiah; his siblings, Benjamin Torres and his wife Luz, Aurea Jiminez and her husband Armando, Milagros Torres, Carmen Perez and her husband Hector, Vidal Torres and his wife Wanda and Ruth Torres. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the brother of the late Jose M. Torres and Sara Gutierres. Funeral Information Calling hours will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St.,(RT123) Brockton on Wednesday, November 22nd from 4:00PM-8:00PM. Interment will be private.
