Josefa (Antuens) Resende Josefa (Antuens) Resende , 99, of Brockton, died Thursday, October 29, 2009 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a period of failing health. Born October 23, 1910 in Fogo, Fragesia de Nossa Sanha De Ajuda, Cape Verde, she was the daughter of the late Juesino Resende and Luzia Antuens. She has been a Brockton resident for over 35 years she was a housekeeper for a local nursing home for many years. She is survived by her children, Maria Santos, Jesuino Resende, Maria Resende, Francisca Resende Gomes, and Antonio Gomes all of Brockton; her siblings, Albino Resende and Jose Resende; she is also survived by 36 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Tuesday, November 3rd at 8:00AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Edith Stein/St. Edward Church, 71 East Main St., Brockton at 9:00AM.
