Josefina Muniz, 77, of Brockton, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018, at her home in Brockton under the care of her family and hospice. She was the wife of Israel Muniz. Born March 19, 1941, in Carolina, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Pedro Romero and Carmen Zalabarria. Josefina worked at the Brockton VA Hospital for over 12 years. She enjoyed reading the Bible, gardening, and cooking. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, the late Raymond Pedraza and surviving spouse Margaret Pedraza, Valentine Pedraza and his spouse Monnice Parker-Pedraza, and Eda Morales. Ivonne Robles and her spouse Pedro Robles, Wanda Duarte and her spouse Darren Duarte, Wanda Vega and her spouse Jorge Vega. Josefina also leaves behind her sisters, Cruz Zalabarria and Ana Canales, along with her spouse Jorge Canales. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Tuesday, November 27th from 9:00AM to 11:00AM followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
