Joseph A. Andrade, 80, of Bridgewater, MA, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Ghelfi) Andrade.

Born in Fall River, MA on February 15, 1943, he was the son of the late John Andrade and Rose (Caizzi) Andrade. Joe graduated from Colt Memorial High School in Bristol, RI and served for two years in the U.S. Army reserve.

Joe worked as a process engineer manager and plant manager for several wire & cable companies in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Joe enjoyed boating, fishing, gardening, woodworking, travel, weekly poker games with his good friends, and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was a devout Catholic.

In addition to his loving wife Barbara, Joseph is survived by his daughters Patricia Demers, Kimberly Andrade, Lisa Devine and her husband Dermot, Jane Marshall and her husband Peter, and Laura Prusaitis; his granddaughters Lauren, Nicole, Rachael, Fiona, and Tessa; his great grandson Noah; and his sister Marie Clark and her husband Norman.

Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 S. Main St. (Rt.28), West Bridgewater, MA on Wednesday, October 18th at 9:00am, thence to St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 103 Center Street, Bridgewater, MA where funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 10:30am. Interment will follow in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 17th from 2:00-5:00pm.
