Joseph R. Buote Joseph R. Buote , 64, of Brockton, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2010 at the Signature Healthcare Hospital in Brockton. He was the companion of Cathryn Drew. Born October 14, 1946 in Melrose, he was the son of the late Joseph H. Buote and Louise (Rinaldi) Buote. Raised in Brockton he attended Brockton Schools and served in the United States Army for 4 years and the Army Reserves for 22 years. Joseph worked for the City of Brockton Housing Authority for several years and retired in 2003. He was and avid Boston Bruins fan and enjoyed cowboy movies. He is survived by his companion, Cathryn Drew; his children, Sheri Dube of NH, Brian Buote and his wife Lauren of Raynham, Michael Buote and Caitlin Buote both of Brockton; his brother, John Buote and his wife Denise of Brockton; he is also survived by grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Richard Buote. Funeral Information Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Monday, December 20th from 4:00-7:00PM followed by a prayer service at 7:00PM. Private cremation will follow.
