Joseph L. Cummings, Sr.,77, of South Easton, passed away Friday, March 8, 2024 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Carol A. (King) Cummings.

Born May 1, 1946 in Allston, he was the son of the late Charles Cummings and Catherine (Winters) Cummings, He was a graduate of Don Bosco High School.

Joe was a sheet metal worker for several years.

Joe enjoyed playing cards, spending time with his family and was an avid Boston sports fan.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Joseph Cummings and his wife Erin, Andrea Salamone and her husband Derek, Kimberly Singh and her husband Harpreet and Sean Cummings and his wife Meredith; his grandchildren, Shayne, Sr., Trevor, Madison, Liam, McKenna, Madison, Hayley, Logan, Jaden, Samantha, Michael, Camryn and Sean, Jr; his great-grandson, Shayne, Jr.; his siblings, John Cummings and his wife Christine and Cathy Bartolomucci and her husband John. He was the brother of the late Mary Cummings and Charles Cummings.

Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Thursday, March 14th at 9:30AM thence to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 439 West St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 10:30AM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn. Calling hours in the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00PM-8:00PM.
