December 31, 1947 – June 14, 2024
Joseph F. DiCarlo of Bridgewater (formerly of Dorchester) passed away on June 14, 2024, at
Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston. Joseph put up a good fight in a battle
against an exceedingly rare lymphoma and years of heart disease.
Joe was a graduate of Boston Trade High School, where after he spent forty plus years in
the auto body/car industry. Joe loved to cook, most specially anything Italian! All his skills
were learned from his Italian father, Joseph. He most enjoyed cooking for his two
granddaughters. His "girls" were everything to him, wife, daughter, and granddaughters.
He would do anything for them. He had a vast love for the three stooges, his furry
grandkids, and his parents Joseph and Edna DiCarlo.
Loving husband to Barbara (Griffin) DiCarlo. Adored father of Danielle DiCarlo-Schneider
and her husband Paul Francis Schneider of East Bridgewater. Treasured grandfather of
Luci Cate and Scarlet Josephine Schneider of East Bridgewater. Also, his furry grandkids,
Miss Stella, and Mr. Yogui.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during visiting hours
Monday June 24, 2024, from 9-10:30 am at Russell & Pica Funeral home, West
Bridgewater, 441 South Main Street. A funeral mass will be held immediately following at
11 am at St. Anne's, West Bridgewater, 103 North Main Street.
In Lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Joseph DiCarlo may be made to the Division
of Cardiology to support the Cardiology Oncology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center
by visiting www.bidmc.org/giving or by check made payable to "Beth Israel Deaconess
Medical Center" with Joseph DiCarlo/Cardiology Oncology Fund written in the memo line.
