Joseph (Poppy) F. Keefe, 64, of Tiverton, RI, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at St. Anne's Hospital in Fall River. He was the loving husband of Pauline M. (Griffin) Keefe for 43 years.
Born April 4, 1949 in Everett, he was the son of the late Joseph Keefe, Dorothy (Hulsman) Phelan and her husband James. He served in the Army Reserves for 6 years.
Joseph founded and continued to successfully operate American Video Services, Inc. in Stoughton for over 20 years.
Joseph was loving, generous, fun spirited, kind and mischievous. He loved his family and his dog, Kramer. He enjoyed boating, golfing and riding his Can Am Spyder. He was creative and spent hours designing artistic interior home dcor.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline M. (Griffin) Keefe, his daughter, Wendy M. LaFrance and her husband Chris; his granddaughter, Teresa Patukonis and her husband Michael; the joy of his life was spoiling his 3 lovely ladies. He is also survived by his sister, Donna Oates and her husband Tommy and their family; his sister-in-laws and their husbands and families, Peg and Richard Carbone, Carol Griffin and John MacDonald, Marilyn Crawford and Fred Colch, Trish and Bernard MacDonald; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Information
Funeral services will be held in the Christ Congregational Church, 1350 Pleasant St., Brockton on Saturday, September 14th at 3:00PM. Private cremation will follow. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00-7:00PM.
