Martin of Dunedin, FL June 12, 2006 Joseph P. Martin 95 years. Husband for 58 years of the late J. Elsie (Weir) Martin. Uncle of David Conroy of Weymouth; Marcia Conroy of Norwell; Susan Dugan of Taunton; Barbara Wilbur of Lakeville and Rosemary O’Neill of Raynham. Brother-in-law of Phyllis Martin of Brockton.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9 am. Burial in Village Cemetery, Weymouth. Visiting hours Thursday 5-8 pm.

Obituary

Mr. Martin died Monday at the Morton Hospital in Taunton after a brief illness. He was the husband for 58 years of the late J. Elsie (Weir) Martin. Mr. Martin was born and raised in Brockton a son of the late Patrick and Bridget (Smith) Martin. He attended Brockton schools and was a graduate of Bentley College in 1933.
He had been employed as an auditor for Liberty Mutual Insurance for 30 years and retired to Dunedin, Florida 30 years ago. Mr. Martin was an avid Red Sox fan and loved the theater and traveling with his wife.
He is survived by a nephew and four nieces David Conroy of Weymouth; Marcia Conroy of Norwell; Susan Dugan of Taunton; Barbara Wilbur of Lakeville and Rosemary O’Neill of Raynham. He also leaves 5 great nieces and a great nephew. He was the brother-in-law of Phyllis Martin of Brockton
He was the brother of the late John J. Martin, Frank P. Martin, Mary C. Dugan
