Parma
June 25, 1951 – January 24, 2023
Joseph James Parma (71) passed away on January 24, 2023, in the comfort of his home. He was surrounded by his loving wife and children.
Son of the late Antonio J. Parma and the late Domenica Parma (Antonelli) both of Brighton, Massachusetts.
Joseph is survived by his adored wife of 44 years, Cheryl A. Parma; loving father of Domenica E. Donnini and late son-in-law Anthony L. Donnini, Jason Barros, Joseph J. Parma Jr., James J. Parma and daughter-in-law Kelley Parma, MaryJo Parma and Anthony O. Parma; Grandfather "Papa" of Dallas Romero, Mackenzie Parma, Trevor Parma, Paige Parma, Delilah Parma, Joseph Parma, and Caden Parma; brother of Donna Parma, Richard Parma and the late John Parma; Brother-in-law and best friend to John Bergeron; Joseph also leaves behind many sister and brother-in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his beloved fur-babies, two of his best buds, Shadow and Gizzy Parma.
Joseph, as of recent, was Supervisor of Manufacturing at Intronics Power Inc. and prior to that worked for many years at Analog Devices. He worked with computer components for over 50 years. In Josephs earlier years, he ranked as Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps., something he was extremely proud of. Following the Marines, he dedicated many years as a Commander to the J.F.K American Legion Post 17, In Brighton Massachusetts.
Joseph was a loyal, loving, and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all who knew him.
Joseph loved sports, especially hockey. His favorite team being the Boston Bruins. Days at the beach with his family swimming in the ocean, and soaking up the hot sun, enjoying music, cookouts, photography, playing badminton, carnivals, and arcades, were some of the things he enjoyed, to name a few.
He was musically inclined and could play any instrument he picked up but loved playing the cordovox most.
Anyone who knew Joe will remember him for his antics, jokes, pranks, his big smile, and kind heart. He was loved beyond measure and will be missed by all.
Following Cremation, a Memorial Mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 439 West St., Brockton on Thursday, February 9th at 10:30AM. In honor of Joseph, flowers should be sent to Our Lady of Lourdes Church
