Obituary

Joseph B. Pierre, 66, of Brockton, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at the Tufts Medical Center in Boston.  He was the husband of Rose Pierre.

Joseph Bernard Pierre was born on March 15, 1959, in Carrefour, Haiti. He was the beloved son of Rock Pierre and Thérèse Millien, both of whom preceded him in death.

From an early age, Bernard received a solid academic foundation. He completed his primary education at the Carrefour Adventist School and continued his secondary studies at Collège Georges Marc, where he studied through the equivalent of his final year of high school.

In 1982, during a visit to his father in Brooklyn, New York, Bernard made the decision to settle in the United States and build his life there. Driven by a desire for growth and self-improvement, he pursued higher education at Brooklyn College, where he studied liberal arts.

A simple man with a passionate heart, Bernard deeply enjoyed soccer and music, both of which held an important place in his life. He was a loving husband to his wife, Rose Betty Mentor Pierre, and a devoted father to his son, Rosen Bernard Pierre.

A hardworking and dedicated man, Joseph Bernard Pierre spent many years working as a taxi driver in Boston, a profession he carried out with diligence, perseverance, and integrity, earning the respect of those he served each day.

He passed away following a stroke at Tufts Medical Center, leaving behind the memory of a man who was courageous, determined, and deeply devoted to his family.
