Online Obituaries Joseph D. Spadea, 75, of West Bridgewater and formerly of Brockton, passed away Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at the Southeast Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in North Easton after a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Gloria J. (Lachimia) Spadea. Born October 25, 1936 in Brockton, he was the son of the late Frank Spadea and Julia (Garcea) Spadea. A lifelong resident of Brockton and West Bridgewater, he graduated from Brockton High School in 1954. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. Joe was a retired welder for Dyna Fab Co. of Rockland for many years. He loved to dance and was a member of the Conte Memorial Club. He is survived by his children, Joseph Spadea of Dorchester, Lisa Bolek and her husband Jonathan of South Easton, Philip Spadea and his wife Lisa of Easton and the late Julie Spadea; his siblings, Domenic Spadea of Brockton, Francis Spadea of Brockton and John Spadea of Brewster; he is also survived by 12 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Richie Spadea. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Saturday, March 3rd at 8:00AM thence to St. Ann's Church, 103 North Main St., West Bridgewater where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 9:00AM.
