Obituary

Joseph C. Sylvester, Jr. 56 years, of Brockton passed away suddenly at home, Tuesday September 29, 2009. He was born, raised and educated in Boston, a son of the late Joseph C. and Louise (West) Sylvester and had been a Brockton resident since 1979. Joseph was a roofer working for various roofing companies in the Boston area and was a member of the Roofing Union Local#33 in Dorchester. Joseph enjoyed fishing, listening to all kinds of music and bible study.

He is survived by his sisters and brothers, Janice M. Sylvester and Robert both of Brockton; Kathryn M. Janiak and her husband Michael of Walpole, NH; Richard T. Sylvester of Carver and Louise C. Sylvester of Holbrook, MA and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Stephen C., John M. and Donald J. Sylvester.
Funeral arrangements were private.
