Josephine C. Ferris Josephine C. Ferris , 84, of Dorchester died Monday, September 3, 2007 at the Jeanne Jugan Residence in Somerville after a period of failing health. Born February 13, 1923 in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Ferris and Margaret (Hennessey) (Corbett) Ferris. She was a lifelong resident of Dorchester and graduated from St. Patrick High School. She worked as a secretary for the Mayor's office in Boston City Hall for many years. Josephine was a devoted catholic and was a communicant of St. Ann's Church in Dorchester. She is survived by her son, Stephen J. Ferris (Retired Brockton Police Department) and his wife Leona of Brockton; her grandchildren, Shannon, Sharice, and Shauna; her niece, Margaret Deltufo; her nephew, Francis Skeffington; she is also survived by several greatnieces and greatnephews. She was also sister of the late Elizabeth Skeffington, Helen Bryant, and Kay Morris. Funeral Information Funeral from the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington St., DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS on Friday, Sept. 7th at 9:30AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Ann's Church, 251 Neponset Ave., Dorchester at 10:30AM.
