Josette 'Mémé' Chery a longtime resident of Brockton, by the way of Aux Cayes, Haiti passed away peacefully on April 21st, 2020, after a brief illness. She was 97 years old. Josette was a proud mother of 4 children, 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Josette or Soeur Zete or better known as Mémé to many. Mémé raised many of us in her community that includes her family and her church community. Mainly with Bishop Marc Simon of Brockton Church of God on Pleasant St in Brockton where should was also part the senior choir. That same community adored her Haitian cuisine and every Sunday people walked out of church with their Tupperware full of a Sunday dinner. It didn't take much to make her happy – that you are fed, a phone call, a visit. And as everyone's Mémé and she made sure you were always fed and is always praying for everyone in your family. Mémé was predeceased by her daughter Maryse Boyer, her granddaughter Stephanie St Paul-Guillaume and her grandson, JudeDany Chery. She was survived by her children Paulette Chery, Jean Chery (Kerlange Chery), Lucien Chery (Maryse Merilus Chery). Along with her grandchildren, Barbara Chery, Fredia Chery, Sophia Saint Paul, Arlain Chery and Samantha Chery. As well as her two great-grandchildren Jeremai and Genesis Guillaume. Josette's nephew, Gerald Charles and her nieces Lauda Charles and Laura Charles Benoit. Funeral Services are Private.
