Joshua Edmond Fortin, 35, of Las Vegas and formerly of Brockton, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at his home.
Born June 8, 1978 in Stoughton, he was the son of Edmond C. Fortin and Barbara L. (Bisbee) Fortin.
Joshua lived in Brockton until he moved to Las Vegas 4 years ago. He was a professional card player and spent many hours helping at a local vapor store where his passion was creating flavors.
He loved the Boston Red Sox and enjoyed pool and archery.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Cyra A. Fortin and her mother Megan Farrell; his sister, Kelly L. Fortin and Kenny Brady; his niece, Kaydence Brady; his fiance, Theresa Sterrett; his aunts and uncles, Lynne Mercier, Eleanor Young, MaryAnn Coury, Dana Bisbee and his wife Jacqueline and David Miller; his great Uncle, Joseph Tuddy Fortin; he is also survived by numerous cousins. He was the grandson of the late Mary A. Kiley, Gerard Kiley, William Bisbee and Sarah Bisbee and he was the nephew of the late Ralph Miller.
Funeral Information
Following cremation, a Memorial Gathering will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) on Sunday, March 30th from 11:00AM-1:00PM followed by a Memorial Service at 1:00PM.
