Online Obituaries Joyce E. (Brennan) Bumpus, 77, formerly of Easton and Plymouth, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the Life Care Center of Acton after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Bumpus. Born October 31, 1939 in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary B. (Walsh) Brennan. Raised in Brockton, she graduated from Brockton High School and St. Elizabeth's School of Nursing. Joyce was a retired Registered Nurse. She worked at the Goddard Hospital in the Labor & Delivery Unit and for Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, travelling, spending time with her many lifelong friends and attending her childrens and grandchildrens sporting events. She is survived by her children, Lisa Bombria and her husband David of Greenland, NH, James Bumpus and his wife Susan of Concord, MA and Michael Bumpus and his wife Kathleen of Naperville, IL; her grandchildren, John, Henry, Natalie, Grace, Ellie, Clare and Michael; her twin sister, Jayne Snarsky and her husband Walter; her sister-in-law, Mona Bumpus; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Saturday, February 18th at 8:30AM thence to Immaculate Conception Church, 193 North Main St., North Easton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 10:00AM.
