Juanita Ann (Watson) Hilliard 73 passed away from a lengthy battle with Lung cancer on November 12, 2015.
Juanita was born on May 10, 1942 in Aberdeen Mississippi. She moved to Brockton in 1952. Juanita aka Pudding had a passion for cooking, especially preparing holiday meals and special desserts for family and friends. She loved dancing to James Brown and getting down low. Juanita also loved to travel to Mattapan and Atlanta City. She also loved spending time at home watching her favorite western Gunsmoke. Another favorite was playing Bingo, sipping on nips of Gin, as selling rainbow Zips, (Zip Lady).
She is proceeded in death by her mother Callie Pruitt, brothers James Red Watson, Robert Bobby Watson,, Earl Joe Watson, /Willie Cliff Watson, sisters Lily Watson, Fanny Joy Watson, Rena (Watson) Howell, and her cousin Walter Lee 'Bobo Watson. Also proceeded in death her beloved son Tony Bishop Watson and grandson James B. Hilliard.
Juanita is survived by her husband James C. Hilliard, her daughter Juanita J. Hilliard (Eric Gunderway), son James Hilliard. Grandchildren, Tamica J. Smith, Danica Hilliard, Ebony Lang (Chris), Erica Hilliard, Darnyae Hilliard, Breanna Hilliard, 10 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and many loved ones.
Funeral Information
A Funeral Service will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Thursday, November 19th at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00AM to 11:00AM.
