Our beloved Juanita Key-Sheriff was born on January 9, 1958 and passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Brigham and Women's Hospital Boston.
Juanita was born in Eatonton Georgia and moved to Boston when she was 12 years old, she graduated from high school at Jeremiah E Burke in Boston. Juanita has resided in Brockton, Massachusetts since 1999, where she bought her first house.
Juanita retired from Pepsi Cola after working there for 31 years as a receptionist. Juanita best known as Neet, nanna J, and mommy enjoyed gardening, shopping, cooking, dancing, and spending quality time with her friends and family.
Juanita leaves behind to cherish her precious memories her loving mother Ella Mae Key, daughter Lillian Vallee and her husband Christopher, and son Richard Sheriff and fiancé Estelle Tshitenge. Her beloved 6 grandchildren Christopher, Nicklaus, Cyrus, Jordan, Anthony, and Olivia who were her everything. Her only sibling, Patricia Scott, passed in 1993 welcomed her home with open arms on her birthday, with nephew Terrence who passed in 1997. Juanita also leaves behind her fiancé Jonathan Bruce, and step daughter Essence, best friends of 50 years Maxine, Beverly, Linda, and Cookie, Bly family, Small family; and many close friends and family. Juanita was also survived by family from Georgia, niece Tonnet, her companion Shawn, great niece Alexandria, and husband William Dungey Sr., great nephew Rodriguez Green, great niece Shaquavious Scott, great nephew Terrence Dixon, great-great nephew Corey Dungey, William Dungey, great-great niece Courtnei Dungey, Sage Scott, and Seven Scott.
A funeral service will be held in the New Life Christian Church, 184 West Elm St., Brockton on Friday, March 15th at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in the Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours prior to the service in the church from 9:45AM-10:45AM.
