Obituary

Judith A. (Klasner) Colosi, 83, of Haverhill, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen. Judy was born April 24, 1937 in Flint, Michigan to Henry and Ina Klasner. Ina passed away when Judy was an infant and she was raised by her aunt and uncle. Judy attended elementary and high school at Michigan Lutheran Seminary in Saginaw, Michigan. Judy went on to attend Michigan State University where she graduated with her bachelor's degree. Judy married Richard J. Osborne from Brockton in 1965 while they were both living in Cincinnati, OH. After the birth of their two daughters, Michele and Amanda, the family settled in Andover, MA. Judy married the late Richard H. Colosi in 1986 and was married to him until his passing in 2010. She spent her final years at Haverhill Crossings Assisted Living in Haverhill. Judy was a creative, motivated and hard-working career woman. She held many interesting jobs in retail, market research, talent acquisition, and banking as well as being an entrepreneur owning and operating her own women's boutique, Lady J's, in Washington Square Haverhill, MA. Judy was a voracious reader and writer who participated in and led several creative writing groups and self-published her book, Alice Blue Gown. She retired from Fleet Mortgage. Judy was generous with her talents and treasures to her family and friends. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching game shows and HGTV, reading, playing bingo and Scrabble and in her younger days traveling to Aruba. Judy was a loving mother, and blessed us with a beautiful home, the gift of a delicious meal, and a great sense of style. She is survived by her daughters Michele (Osborne) Driscoll and her husband James of Downingtown, PA and Amanda Osborne of Haverhill, MA. She was the beloved grandmother of Jordan Osborne, John Osborne, Megan Driscoll and Julia Driscoll and is also survived by many dear nieces, nephews and great grandchildren. Judy is also survived by a sister, Sue. A sister, Barb and two brothers, Bill and John, preceded her in death. A private service and interment of her ashes will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
