Judith Lois Nessralla 70 years of Brockton, MA and Pawtucket RI, June 6, 2009. She was born and raised in Brockton and was the daughter of the late Charles J and Beatrice Edna (Abdu) Nessralla. Judith was a graduate of St. Patrick HS in Brockton class of 56 and of Boston State College class of 66. While in high school and college she worked for her family businesses on the Nessralla Farm in Avon and the former White Cottage Donut Shop here in Brockton. In 1968 she started teaching for the Rockland HS and retired in 1999. While at Rockland, she founded the Annual Shakespeare Festival dedicated to Elizabethan Theatre which is still active today. She had a great love for the arts especially Greek and Roman Mythology, Shakespearean Literature and was fascinated with Opera. She will be remembered for her great cooking and love of family. Judy was a surrogate mother to her nieces and nephews and a Teacher to countless individuals both in and out of the classroom.
She is survived by her loving brothers Charles J. Jr and his wife Audrey, David and his wife Patricia all of Avon, her sister Patricia A Nazarian and her late husband Judge George Nazarian, the late Philip C and his wife Louise Nessralla; her nieces and nephews Attorney Philip C Nessralla Jr., Lynne Jeha, Charles J. Nessralla III, Lori McKinnon, Leanne Hayward, Dr. David G. and Attorney Gregory G. Nazarian; and her sisters and brother in law, John Nazarian, Mary Zompa, June Albert, May Gabriel, Josephine Apostolou and Donna Salhany Judith is also survived by many close friends that were near and dear to her heart. She was the aunt of the late late Michael D. Nessralla.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St (Rte. 123) Brockton, MA Wednesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Theresa Maronite Church 343 N. Main St. Brockton, MA at 10 AM. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 4-8 PM with an incense service at 7PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Theresa Maronite Church or the charity of your choice.
