Julia Lee was born to John and Julia Evans on May 4th, 1950, in Drew, Mississippi. They preceded her in death. She attended JFK High School in Mound Bayou Ms. From there she came to Boston in 1973 and went to work in the home health field for more than 20 years. Then she worked as a residential care taker for the Adult Rehab Center till 2005 when her health began to fail and she was no longer able to continue working. Julia accepted Christ at the young age of 12, at Mt. Everet Baptist Church in Mound Bayou, Ms. She rededicated her life to Christ during the funeral services of her dearly departed brother Willie Roy Evans on August 2016. She came from a family of 16 children. When all had left home except she and Betty, she became very protective of her little sister, whatever she had she made sure Betty had one also if not she would give her the one she had. As they got older Betty became the protector and looked out for her big sister. Julia didnt enjoy doing a lot of things so she would ask Betty to cook her favorite meals for her. She moved to Brockton in 2005 to live with Betty until she received an apartment in 2011 and has lived on her own until her health failed again in August 2016. She was outgoing, funny and enjoyed life to the fullest. She love playing a good game of spades and would not leave the table till everyone quit on her. Julia loved her family to the max. She was so lazy though she would ask you to pass her a Pepsi and she was sitting right next to the refrigerator. When she was 7, and Betty was 5 and a niece who was also 5. Julia got them all a whopping because she cooked mamas last piece of salt pork in some soy beans that was so salty no one could eat them. (she was imitating mama cookingmaybe thats why she was afraid of cooking). Her 1st husband James Ivery and 2nd husband Jimmie Powers both preceded her passing. She had 9 brothers and 3 sisters to precede her in death. Brothers: George, Ralph, Rafeal, Claybourn, Willie Roy, Lazarus, J.C., Esau, and Rescue.
