Online Obituaries Julie M. Cignarella, 31 yrs. old of Brockton, died suddenly on Saturday, October 4, 2014 after a long battle with brain cancer since 2003; she was presently cancer-free. Julie had complications from brain surgery in Feb. 2013 at Mass General Hospital then went on to Spaulding Cambridge and continued her rehab at Tower Hill, Canton. Julie lived briefly in Rockland, and then moved to Hanover and presently Brockton MA where she lived with her Dad & her cat Snickers which was her baby and most recently Tower Hill Nursing & Rehab Center. She attended the Hanover School System, Hanover High School and South Shore Voc Tech and was involved with music & chorus. She had many jobs including a Quincy Law Firm, but her favorite job was at Southwood at Norwell Nursing Home for the Starr Family as an Assistant Activities Director, which Julie cared for all her patients needs and loved them all very much with entertainment, playing the piano and singing for them and with them and doing loving activities. Our Julie also performed with the Quincy Dinner Theater with her brother Michael. All thru our Julies 11 years of surgeries, pain, headaches and challenges, she always had grace and a smile. She loved all music, going out to eat, scratch tickets, her computer, phone, Facebook, her french vanilla coffee with xx, and more important loved her family, friends and helping anyone. Our Julie so loved life and felt blessed with every day she was given. She so loved her Snickers, her family and everyone she met. Snickers & all her family & friends will miss her and remember her always. Julie carried and held all in her heart each & everyday, always. She is survived by her cat, Snickers her mother, Linda A. Gray; her father, Paul M. Cignarella; her stepmother, Celeste L. Cignarella; her brothers, Chris of Middleboro, Michael of West Bridgewater, the late Anthony Cignarella of Norwood, Paul N. of Carver; her step brother, Joshua Coyne of Whitman and step sister, Julie Thomas of Brockton; her God parents Stephen Gray and the late Marci Cignarella, and the late grandparents Michael & Mary Cignarella and Elliot & Dorothy Gray-McCarthy. Funeral Information A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul on Saturday, October 11th at 10:00AM in The Chapel of Our Savior, 475 Westgate Dr., Brockton. Private cremation will follow. Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00-8:00PM.
