Julio Alves Julio Alves , 87, of Brockton, died Friday morning, December 14, 2007 at this home under the care of his family. He was the husband of Georgina (Lima) Alves. Born June 10, 1920 in Brava, Cape Verde, he was the son of the late Jose Alves and Amelia (Lopes) Alves. Mr. Alves was a retired construction worker and has been a Brockton resident for over 25 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Georgina (Lima) Alves; his children, Jose Alves, Antonio Alves, Gabriel Alves, Carlos Alves, Laurinda Alves Cabral, Maria Amelia Pires Alves, Maria Correia, Ilda Barros, and Domingas Alves; his siblings, Margarida Alves, Justa Alves, and Carlota Alves; he is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Tuesday, December 18th at 9:00AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Edith Stein Parish/St. Edward Church, 71 East Main St., Brockton at 10:00AM.
