Julio Rodrigues Pires, 83, of Brockton passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the husband of Maria L. Silva. Born in Fogo, Cape Verde on February 5, 1938, he was the son of the late Joao Rodrigues Pires and Rosalia Pina Pires. In addition to his wife, Maria, Julio is survived by his children Maria Tavares, Antonio Fragoso, Maria Pires Barbosa, Joao Pires and Tania Pires; as well as 10 grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 11th at 10:00AM at St. Edith Stein Parish, 71 East Main Street, Brockton, MA 02301. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00PM in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St.,(Rt.123) Brockton.
