Obituary

Karen L. (Stewart) Moreau, age 72, of Brockton, formerly of Bridgewater, died peacefully December 11, 2018. Karen was the loving wife for 51 years of Richard H. Moreau. Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Ralph R. and Louise J. (Elsmore) Stewart and was a graduate of Brockton High School, class of 1964. She had been employed by Asack’s Footwear as a sales clerk for 11 years, retiring in May 2012. Karen was an avid pet lover and enjoyed spending time with her grandson Christian and lunches with her sister Roberta. She also enjoyed writing poetry in her private time.

Karen was the mother of Karen Moreau-Ceballos of Melrose and Christina Moreau of Bridgewater; grandmother of Christian J. Curley, sister of Roberta Lemasa of Brockton and mother-in-law of John Ceballos of Melrose.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Friday, December 14, 10-11:30am followed by burial in Mount Prospect Cemetery, Bridgewater. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Karen’s name to the Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Mass, 1300 West Elm Street Ext., Brockton, MA 02301.
