Born on September 23, 1939, in Chemnitz, Germany, she was the daughter of the late George and Hertha (Shuricht) Decker.
Karin was one of six children and pre-deceased by Roland Decker and Guntar Decker. Karin leaves behind three siblings, Werner, Berndt, and Eva, along with extended family in Germany.

The greatest love of her life was her children, her support for them was immeasurable.

Later in her life, she found immense joy in supporting the Veterans, knitting blankets for children and baking treats for the Raynham Police & Fire Departments.
Karin is pre-deceased by her daughter Michelle M. Mantos and survived by her children Christine C. Shurtleff and spouse Eugene Shurtleff of Oviedo FL, Patricia A.
