Karl H.Gullbrants, age 91, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2026, with his loving family by his side. Karl, a lifelong resident of Brockton, was born on August 15, 1934, to the late Karl H. Gullbrants Sr. and Lola (Woodman) (Gullbrants) Mason. He was the loving husband of Nancy (Walsh) Gullbrants, with whom he shared 70 wonderful years of marriage.
After graduating from Brockton High School in 1953, Karl proudly served six years as a Sargeant in the National Guard. He was a member of the Vega Club of Brockton where he served as President and Vice President. Karl worked for Proctor and Gamble of Quincy for 40 years and was able to retire at the age of 57, allowing him to spend more time with the people he loved most-his family. Karl defined what it means to be a family man and would willingly drop whatever he was doing to help anyone that needed him.
Gully was an avid sports fan and loved watching the Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, and Bruins. Most of all, he loved watching the horse races.
In addition to his beloved wife Nancy, Karl, who was fondly known as Gully, Dad, Grampa, and Bubba, is survived by his children, Karen Niccoli of Bridgewater, Michael Gullbrants and his fiancé Donna Larkin of Buzzards Bay, Kevin Gullbrants and his wife Michelle of Brockton, Susan Dion and her husband Dennis of Bridgewater, and Lisa Fayles and her late husband Rick of Brockton. He took immense pride in his role as grandfather to Christina Serode, Joey Niccoli, and Anthony Niccoli, Michelle Zine, Emily Hitchings and Spencer Dion, and Tucker Gullbrants. He was also the beloved great-grandfather to Gianna, Sophia, Jason, Cole, Catie, Alex, Caroline, Blake, Reese, Colton, Aria, and Mia. Karl was a proud uncle to his nieces and nephew.
Karl was very involved in the lives of his grandchildren and they were his pride and joy. He would often brag about his family to anyone that would listen. He loved watching his family grow and created countless cherished memories that brought him endless smiles and happiness.
Karl was fortunate to share a genuine friendship with Ed and Mary O’Keefe and their children. Their friendship brought him great joy over the years, and they remained a dear part of his life and extended family.
Karl was predeceased by his brother, Chester Gullbrants, and his former son-in-law, Joe Niccoli.
