Kathleen M. Doherty-Gomes Kathleen M. Doherty-Gomes , 54, of Brockton, died Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was the wife of the late Evaristo Gomes. Born December 14, 1954 in Chelsea, she was the daughter of the late Charles J. Doherty and Janet C. (Kearney) Doherty. Raised in Brockton, she attended Brockton Schools and graduated from Brockton High School in 1972. She received her Associates Degree in Social Service Work from Massasoit Community College. Kathleen was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed painting, sculpturing, and cooking. She is survived by her children, Tamyko Doherty, Alfonso Misuraca, Jr., Tiffany Doherty, Taylar Gomes, and Troi Gomes; her grandchildren, Taisaun, Tailyn, Talayzia, Lyssa, and Alfonso, Jr.; her sisters and brother, Colleen Doherty, Sharon Pacheco, and Charles Doherty; she is also survived by several other grandchildren in New Bedford, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was the step mother of Lamont Cruz. Funeral Information A Memorial Service will be held in the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., Brockton on Friday, May 15th from 2:00PM-3:00PM.
