Obituary

Kathleen “Kathy” E. Fenstermaker age 74, of Brockton, died May 12, 2023 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center. She was born in Brockton, a daughter of the late Norman and Kathleen (Blennerhasset) Fenstermaker and was raised in West Bridgewater.

A 1967 graduate of West Bridgewater High School, Kathy also attended Bristol Community College. She was an administrative assistant for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation and also with the Department of Correction at Old Colony Correction Center in Bridgewater. Kathy was a librarian at Wheaton College and children’s librarian at the West Bridgewater Public Library.

Kathy enjoyed travelling, musicals, knitting and she loved to read. She was a past president of the Caffrey Towers Association and past president of the West Bridgewater Jaycettes. She will be remembered as a very outgoing woman with a great sense of humor and loved being with her family.

Kathy was the sister of Gretchen Abendschan of Warwick, RI and the late Beth Burgess. She was the aunt of Kari Boardman of Taunton, Darren Burgess of Brockton and great aunt of Madeleine and Peter Boardman and Hunter Burgess.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 3, at 11am in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.
