Obituary

Kathleen Hill, age 66, of Bridgeport, TX, passed away on August 10, 2023, at Senior Care Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bridgeport, TX.

Born in and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary (Perry) Hill and sister of the late Glenn Hill.

She worked as a correctional officer with the Massachusetts Department of Corrections in Bridgewater for twenty-five years, retiring in 2012.

Kathleen resided in Texas for the past five years. She was a member of the Samoset Rod and Gun Club in West Bridgewater and the VFW. Kathy will be remembered as loving, compassionate, selfless, funny, and kindhearted and was devoted to her family and friends. An avid Boston sports fan, she also enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and dogs as well as listening to country music.

She is survived by her siblings, Michael Hill, of Calhoun, GA, Maureen Sylvia, of Wareham, and Debra Cicciu, of Calhoun, GA; her fiancé, Mary Bates, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at 9:30am for a Funeral Mass in Christ the King Church at 10:30am, followed by burial at Elmwood Cemetery in East Bridgewater.
