Kathleen M. "Kathie" (Gormley) Jones, 64 of West Bridgewater, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. She was the wife of Kent S. Jones. Born August 10, 1954 in Milford, she was the daughter of the late Joseph V. Gormley and Katherine (Keady) Gormley. Raised in Medway, Plymouth and Brockton, she graduated from Brockton High School in 1972. Kathie retired from the Brockton Enterprise after 35 years of service. She worked in various positions in the Advertising Department and retired as a Advertising Executive. She graduated from Conway College of Real Estate and enjoyed selling real estate. She studied Medical Assistance at Bryman College, studied Health Care Administration at Massasoit and Stonehill Colleges and worked at New England Sinai Hospital as a Medical Assistant. She also took classes at The Sullivan Cogliano Business School where she received a certificate in Computer Science. Kathie was very active in the Town of West Bridgewater and volunteered with West Bridgewater Girl Scout Troup where she helped with their cookie fundraising events. She was also very active in the West Bridgewater Senior Citizens Center in different capacities. She is survived by her husband, her daughter, Katherine B. Jones of West Bridgewater, her siblings, Joseph V. "Jay" Gormley of Bridgewater, Denise A. Gormley and Pamela J. Gormley of Easton; she is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Following Cremation, a Memorial Gathering will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main St., (Rt28) West Bridgewater on Wednesday, August 29th from 4:00-7:00PM. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul on Thursday, August 30th at 10:00AM in St. Ann's Church, 103 North Main St., West Bridgewater.
