Obituary

Kathleen S. “Kay” Neafsey, 86, of Brockton and formerly West Bridgewater passed away at her home surrounded by family on November 21, 2013. Kathleen was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Ellen (McCarthy) Neafsey.
Kathleen was a member of the Brockton High School class of 1945 where she was voted “Most Athletic”. She attended Boston University. After college she worked at Jordan Marsh and the New England Telephone Company. Kathleen was the owner of Kay’s Korner Dress Shop in West Bridgewater where she prided herself on customer service. After closing the shop she returned to New England Telephone Company and ended her career at Chadwicks. After retirement, Kathleen enjoyed spending time at her home in Falmouth, relaxing, reading, shopping, singing and dancing.
Kathleen is survived by her sister and friend Elinor Neafsey of Charlotte, North Carolina. She was predeceased by her sisters Mary Frances Dwyer, Margaret Cruise, and Anne Pagani. Kathleen is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, each of whom was a special part of her life.
A celebration of Kathleen’s life will be held on Friday November 29, 2013 at 10 am in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton. Visitation will be 9-10 am prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations in Kay’s name may be made to the Old Colony Hospice, One Credit Union Way, Randolph, MA 02368.
