Sgro, of Brockton, July 3, 2005, Kathleen T. “Kay” (MacDonald) Sgro, 83 years. Wife of Anthony J. Sgro. Loving mother of Jean Hurley and Frank Sgro. Grandmother of Cynthia, Michael, Christopher, Jennifer, Rachael and Maureen.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 8am. Funeral Mass in Christ the King Parish (formerly St. Colman’s) at 9am. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery. Visiting Hours Wednesday 5-8pm. Donations may be made in Kay’s name to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720.
Obituary
Kathleen T. “Kay” (MacDonald) Sgro, died Sunday at her home after a brief illness. Born and raised in Randolph, she was the daughter of the late John and Alice (Crosby) MacDonald. She attended Randolph schools and was a graduate of Stetson High School, class of 1939. She had been employed as an operator for 10 years by New England Telephone Company and retired in 1984 from Woolworths at the Westgate Mall after 18 years. She had been a long time communicant of St. Colman Church and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Anthony J. Sgro, one daughter Jean Hurley of Abington, one son Frank Sgro of Brockton, six grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Alice Cleary.
