IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kathleen M.
Nesti
November 29, 1946 – February 27, 2024
Broken-heartedly, we celebrate the life of Kathleen M. Nesti (Dwyer) of Easton, MA who passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on February 27, 2024 after courageously battling a recent illness.
Wife to the late William D. Nesti—she is survived by her sons Christopher and John as well as her sister Patricia, and brother Michael. Mother-like to many, and a friend to all, her loss is deeply felt by the rest of her family, nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors and all who knew her.
Born in New York City, Kathleen was raised in New Jersey before moving to Dedham, MA in 1963. She entered the nursing program at the Faulkner Hospital in Boston, and became a registered nurse in 1967. After Kathleen and family moved to Brockton in 1985, her career continued at the Braemoor Nursing Home where she faithfully worked overnights for more than 30 years. Kathleen loved to meet up with friends for weekly dinners by the waterfront and was a loyal Boston sports fan who enjoyed the communal aspects of following her teams. Her radio was always on whether it was a ballgame, sports talk, Car Talk, WBZ, WATD, Sinatra, or Anne Murray. Kathleen was a keen shopper and had a knack for discovering a unique gift or treat that would wow and impress. Her greatest joy was simply talking & listening to her friends and family. Kathleen was the best mom and friend anyone could ask for. May she rest in eternal peace.
A funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 10:30AM in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 439 West St., Brockton. Interment will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, alongside her husband, William who was a proud US Navy "Seabee". Calling hours are omitted.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to donate in Kathleen's name to Signature Healthcare's Greene Cancer Center at https://www.signature-healthcare.org/support/donate-now .
