Kathleen F. (Emord) Pray, 70 years, of Brockton died unexpectedly, April 13, 2011. Kathleen was born in Weymouth to the late Francis and Charlotte (Lincoln) Emord. She was a graduate of Brockton High School and has resided in Brockton for the better part of her life.
Mrs. Pray was the former manager of the Public Storage Company first in Brockton and later in Lynn, MA when the company relocated. She had also been employed for many years by the Knapp Shoe Company in Brockton.
Kathleen will be remembered by those who knew her best as a well loved, strong independent women with a great zest for life; one with a bubbly personality and a wonderful sense of humor. She had a strong sense of family and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandson Kyle.
She enjoyed the companionship of her beloved dog Twink and devoted her energies to the prevention of cruelty to all animals.
She loved the sociability of bingo; the hunt for a bargain while shopping; the collecting of her many Beenie Babies; a good Red Sox game; and the joy of cheering on her grandchildren as they played their school sports. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
She was the wife of the late Philip Pray. The beloved mother to Tammy Joyce of Onset, Edward Pierce and his wife Amy of Pembroke and Jane Matta and her husband Brian of Brockton. The loving grandmother to Eric, Skippy, Brandy, Tim, Anthony, Maxwell, Jacob, Hannah and Eli and great grandmother to Kyle. Kathleen is also survived by her longtime companion William Beebe of Brockton and her four step daughters; Pamela Brundidge, Patti Mari, Paula Jeannette and Maureen Munoz.
Visitation in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Tuesday 4-7 pm with a Funeral Home Ceremony at 6:30. In memory of Kathleen the family would prefer donations to the MSPCA - Angell Headquarters 350 South Huntington Avenue Boston, MA 02130, for online donations
