Obituary

Kathleen M. “Kathy” Smith age 79 of Brockton died Tuesday February 13, 2018 at Signature Healthcare/Brockton Hospital. Kathy was born and raised in Brockton a daughter of the late Merton G. and Helena A. (Williams) Smith.

For most of her life Kathy had lived in Brockton with the exception of several years in Kentucky. She was a resident of Manning Towers and had been president of the tenants association.

Kathy loved her kitty Boo.

Kathy was the mother of Allane Strode of Jacksonville, Florida; Bettie Jane Freeman of Fresno, California; Tommy Smith of London, Kentucky; Maryellen Poole of London Kentucky and Joseph Poole of Billings, Montana. She leaves five grandchildren Marshall Wiggins, Richard and Charles McFarland, Britany Smith and Ashley Beard. Kathy was the sister of Ellen Cheesman of Marshfield and the late Marjorie Moore, Charles Smith and William Smith.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (rte. 123) Brockton on Sunday Febru19, 2018 from 2-3pm followed by a remembrance service at 2pm. Burial at Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
