Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Monday at 8am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting Hours Sunday 2-4pm.

Obituary Information

Kathryn M. (Mullen) McCarthy died Thursday at the Braemoor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Brockton daughter of the late James and Elizabeth M. (Organ) Mullen she had been a life long resident of Brockton. She was a graduate of Brockton High School and a retired employee of the Division of Employment Security, Commonwealth of Massachusetts where she was a Test Administrator and Adjudicator. She was a former member of the Twentieth Century Club and Bowling League. She had been a volunteer at the former Cardinal Cushing Hospital for ten years, enjoyed traveling and was a long time communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

She is survived by her husband Timothy J. McCarthy, two nieces Barbara Lopez of Cincinnati, OH and Joan Schrimpf of Lake Forest IL and two nephews Atty J. Thomas Mullen of Lake Forest IL, and J. Lee Mullen of Barrington, IL. She was the sister of the late Dr. Joseph J. Mullen.
