Kathryn McLaughlin, 77 of West Bridgewater died peacefully and surrounded by her family on Monday, May 5, 2025.

A lifelong resident of West Bridgewater, MA Kathy was born in 1947 to William and Anna Brown. She graduated from West Bridgewater High School and joined the workforce at State Street Bank in Boston.

Kathy married the love of her life Michael in 1972 and together they built a life with their two children, Michael and Heather, filled with love, laughter and lasting memories. She loved to paint, craft and scrapbook, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She spent many years working as a school lunch lady, where she greeted all the students with a warm smile and caring heart. In 2010 she had the best reason to retire and found her "favorite job of all" – caring for her beloved granddaughter, Brianna. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her and watching her grow.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Michael; her children Michael and Kristie McLaughlin; Heather and Paul DePalma; her cherished granddaughter, Brianna DePalma; her sister, Judith Souza; her sister-in-law, Carolyn Brown and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Anna Brown; brother, William Brown; her sister and brother-in-law Patricia and Karl Jernberg; and brother-in-law Ralph Souza.

Her love for her family, her gentle spirit, and her nurturing nature touched all who knew her.

Calling hours will be in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main Street, West Bridgewater, MA 02379 on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 from 4pm-7pm. A funeral Mass will be held at St Ann's Church, 103 N. Main St., West Bridgewater on Wednesday, May 14th at 11am.
