Kenneth "Kenny" Anthony Sousa was born on March 26, 1960 to Joyce E. Sousa and Gerald Sousa in Stoughton, Massachusetts. Kenny passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 in Bridgewater, Massachusetts at the age of 63 and is survived by his wife, Constance "Connie" Soares – Sousa and his daughters, Anéya Sousa and Alyssa Sousa. Kenny and Connie were married for 30 years. Kenny is also survived by his brothers Gerald Sousa, Jr., Troy Sousa, and Tracy Sousa and his sisters Yvonne Sousa, Cecelia Sousa, Holly Sousa, Samantha Sousa, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kenny earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts Boston, and his Master's degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Kenny joined the Boston Police Department where he served as a distinguished police officer for over 30 years, climbing the ranks and becoming a detective, and then eventually retiring as a sergeant and acting lieutenant.

In his free time, Kenny loved to exercise and spend time outdoors. He was an avid golfer, biker, boxer and skier, and was also a member of several gyms, where he spent much of his time. Kenny had four black belts in martial arts, and was always passionate about fitness and health. He enjoyed educating others about natural medicines and holistic approaches to healthcare.

Kenny had an outgoing and charismatic personality and was very protective of those he loved. He was a hardworking and compassionate individual and was always willing to step up and lend a helping hand or give advice to those in need. Indeed, he left this world better than he found it and he will be dearly missed by all those who love him.

To honor Kenny's legacy, the family will host a wake on Wednesday, March 20th, 2024 from 5pm to 8pm at Russell & Pica Funeral Home in Brockton, MA located at 165 Belmont Street, Brockton, MA.

Kenny's homegoing procession will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024. Loved ones are asked to meet at 10am at Russell & Pica Funeral Home located at 165 Belmont Street, Brockton, MA. From there, family and friends will be asked to follow along in the procession to the church service, which will be held at 11am at St. Edith Stein Parish at 71 E Main St. in Brockton, MA.

Following the homegoing, Kenny will be interred at Pine Hill Cemetery located at 483 North Main Street, West Bridgewater, MA. A repass will then be held at Canoe Club Ballroom located at 2 South Street, West Bridgewater, MA from 2-5pm.
