Lamperni (Rinis) Psilekas, 92, of Brockton, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the Braemoor Health Center. She was the wife of the late James L. Psilekas.
Born October 19, 1921 in Manchester, New Hampshire, she was the daughter of the late Leonidas Rinis and Helen (Ziogas) Rinis. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and Beckley College.
She married James Psilekas on December 2, 1945 in Brockton and they were married for 59 years.
She was a charter member of the Fuller Art Museum and the Brockton Historical Society. She served on the Board of Directors for Brockton Visiting Nurse Association, Womens Club and Red Cross. She was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and was a member of the Philoptochos and the Daughters of Penelope for 50 years.
She worked at the Mayflower restaurant for 20 years from 1946 to 1966 she then worked at C.A. Eaton Company in Etonics Division as Office Manager and Customer Service Supervisor for 17 years retiring in 1984.
She enjoyed traveling and family.
She is survived by a sister, nieces, nephew and God Children.
Funeral Information
Funeral services will be held in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St., Brockton on Thursday, July 10th at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours are omitted.
