Lanetta Charlotte Ann Brunson, born on February 2, 1952 in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada departed this life on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at the age of 70. She was the daughter of Wilbert and Ena Harris. She was the wife of Richard O. Brunson and the devoted mother of two daughters, Carol Jordan and Crystal Brunson. She was the very proud grandmother of three, Camiah, Laila, and Naomi.
Lanetta moved from Nova Scotia to Boston, MA in 1971 to attend The University of Massachusetts where she attained her Bachelor's and Masters degrees in Education. Her long career in teaching extended to private, public, and junior colleges in Brockton and Boston.
Lanetta had a wonderfully creative mind and one of her greatest joys was organizing fun events for her grandchildren and for her entire family. Her creativity and organization shone through when she authored short stories, poems, a memoir, and a children's book, Calaina's Contest Conquest, some of which were published and featured on Amazon.
Lanetta will truly be missed. She leaves to mourn her beloved husband, Richard and two amazing children who she loved unconditionally, Carol (Nehemiah) Jordan and Crystal Brunson. She leaves behind her cherished granddaughters Camiah, Laila, and Naomi. She will also be sorely missed by her siblings Ruby Harris, Eulene Harris, Marva Martin, Glen Harris and Lloyd Harris. She also leaves behind nephews, nieces and a host of other relatives and friends.
