Obituary

Laura L. (Beckman) Landry, age 74 of Brockton, died June 9, 2023 at the Good Samaritan Hospital after a brief period of failing health. She was born in Brockton the daughter of the late Oscar and Lillian (Lynch) Beckman and lived in the city for most of her life.

While her children were young, Laura was a stay at home mother and as they grew older she was a bus driver for the Brockton schools, BAMSI and caretaker for family members.

Laura loved her pets, most of all her beloved dog Cookie. She also enjoyed cooking, crocheting, cross word puzzles and going to the beach. Laura will be remembered as a caring and outgoing lady who was always on the go. Most importantly, she loved her family.

Laura was the loving mother of Denise M. Landry of Brockton, Kristine L. Burke and her husband David of East Taunton and the late Jennifer L. Landry. She leaves five grandchildren Aria, Anissa, Meghan, David and Devin and six great grandchildren Alijah, Aribella, Adriel, Aeson, Xander and Elliana. In addition she leaves her siblings Charles Beckman of Florida, Leonard Beckman of Brockton, Dorothy Copeland of Taunton, Sherri Beckman of Brockton and the late Jeffrey Beckman and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (rte.123) Brockton on Tuesday June 20, 2023 from 3-5pm followed by a Funeral Service at 5pm.
