Laura (Pechilis) Skordares, 92, of No. Falmouth, MA passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021 at the Sippican Healthcare Center in Marion. She was the wife of the late George Skordares. Born May 28, 1929 in Mobile, AL she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Panagiota (Pappas) Pechilis. She was a longtime member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Brockton and its Philoptochos Society. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and especially spending time with her loving grandchildren and family. She is survived by her daughters, Andria Cicalis and husband John of Denver, NC and Paula Zevitas and husband Stephen of Mattapoisett; two grandchildren, John Anthony Zevitas and wife Stephanie of Severn, MD and Michael Stephen Zevitas and wife Ashby of Atlanta, GA; two great grandchildren, Pelagia and Elina and a nephew, James Mantalos, wife Barbara and their family of Brockton. Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St.,(Rt.123) Brockton on Wednesday, October 6th at 10:00AM followed by a funeral service in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St., Brockton at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:30PM. Calling hours Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00PM.
