Obituary

Lauraine J. (Pearson) Scully, age 77, of East Bridgewater, died peacefully at her home on October 15, 2023. Lauraine was the wife of the late Ronald E. Scully. Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Alton E. and Dorothy E. (Carle) Pearson.

Lauraine was raised and educated in Brockton and Lakeville and was a graduate of Middleboro Memorial High School. She worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Correction for 30 years. Following her retirement, she ran a home day care with her sister for 10 years, retiring in 2004.

Time spent with her family, especially family gatherings, was special to her. She also enjoyed making jewelry.

Lauraine is survived by her children: Jean Cotreau of Taunton, Ronald Scully of Whitman, Henry Scully of Bridgewater, Richard Scully of Hanson, Laurie Merrey Scully of East Bridgewater and Jeffrey Scully of Belmont. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and her companion Lloyd Raymond of Brockton. She was the sister of the late Beverly Scully and Carolyn Jones.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Thursday, October 19 from 10-11am, with a Funeral Service at 11am. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery.
