Obituary

Lauren A. “Laurie” Moneghan, age 70, of West Bridgewater, died peacefully at her family home on July 10, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Katherine Moneghan and had been an active part of the motorcycle community since birth.

Laurie led family and friends cross-country on their bikes and inspired countless others to do the same. After graduating from West Bridgewater High School, Laurie became one of the faces of her family’s business Monty’s Cycle Shop, Inc. Prior to overseeing the family business, Laurie stepped in as a caregiver with her sister Patricia for their younger siblings, Kathleen, Dermot and Dennis. This allowed their mother Katherine to focus on the business after the early passing of Lawrence, until the children grew older.

Laurie’s mother-like qualities led her to many meaningful relationships with the Burnell, Burke, Fuentes-Vargas and many other families over the years.

Laurie was the sister of Kathleen Moneghan and the late Dennis and Dermot Moneghan and Patricia Moneghan Walsh. She also leaves many cousins from the Mackinaw, Horsley and Real Families.

Visiting hours will be held at the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (rte. 123) Brockton on Sunday July 18, 2021 from 3-6pm. Funeral service in the funeral home on Monday at 11 am followed by burial in Pine Hill Cemetery. Please consider making a donation in Laurie's name to the charity of your choosing.
